Qi Gong Classes

An ancient chinese health care system that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques and focussed attention.

Qigong practices can vary in approach from martial art or a  medical focus. All styles have three things in common: they all involve a posture, (whether moving or stationary), breathing techniques and mental focus.

Qigong creates an awareness of and influences dimensions of our being that are not part of traditional exercise programmes. Movements of Qigong reduce stress, create weight loss, builds

stamina, increase vitality and enhance the immune system. Also improving the respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic and digestive systems.

People do Qigong to maintain health, heal their bodies, and calm their minds.

Qigong can be practiced any where at any time. It encourages a positive outlook on life and helps eliminate harmful behaviours.

The word Qi (pronounced chee), is usually translated to mean the life force or vital energy that flows through all things in the universe.
